Registration of participants will start at 10.00 25.04.1996 in the Hall of Lithuanian Society's Zinija (Knowledge) Lectorium (Palace of Radvilos, Vilniaus Str.22, Vilnius). Opening Ceremony will start at 15.00 in the same house. At this moment we have 25 lectures, 25 discussions, meetings, competitions, etc., 7 performances. The programme will run in 3-5 program streams. Some program items will run in English, others in Lithuanian with translations to English if needed. Discussions will be about SF and Mythology (Did SF creates some XX Century myths?), Computers and SF, How to write SF? and other. We organize Live Action Game based on Steve Jackson's GURPS Illuminati. Video films and Games (role-playing, board, miniatures) will be in separate rooms from 10.00 to 23.00 every convention day (except Sunday).

In 27.04.1996 will be an excursion to Trakai castle (about 30 km from Vilnius). The masquerade, dances and party will be in the Saturday evening. You can take part in masquerade if you wish. Closing Ceremony will be at 15.00, Sunday, 28.04.1996. In 29.04.1996 we organize excursion to Kaunas and next day to Klaipeda and other places of Lithuania.

Participants are expected at present from the UK, Sweden, Finland, Germany, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Russia and Latvia.

Supporting membership for those who don't attend but wish to get all convention materials and to vote for the 1997 Baltcon is USD 3, GBP 2 or 10 Lita Finance is tough, and we'd appreciate sponsors. Those wishing to support the Eurocon/Baltcon/Lituanicon Organizing Committee can pay USD 25 for Friends membership or USD 50 for Sponsoring membership. We'd greatly appreciate your help.

BALTCON 1997 According to Ahrvid Engholm from Sweden at this moment there is one alternative for Baltcon'97: Under the Baltic SF Convention Society constitution the Baltcon moves between an East and a West Zone. The site 1997 is in the West Zone (Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway and Sweden) and decised by ballot of voting. Anyone who is a supporting or attending member of Eurocon/Baltcon/ Lituanicon'96 may vote. Deadline for votes cast at the convention is Saturday April 27th, mail votes a few days earlier.
