Here's an example of the pictures from way back when.  This was going to be a cover to a collection of travel writings about my two or more years in the UK.  I actually had copies printed on what was then a leading-edge photocopy system, courtesy of a London sf fan called Patrick Kearney, who nowadays lives in California where he does weird things with obscure books.

Who's in the photos (left to right, as the pic scrolls up):

Irish Fan Ian MacCauley;
Ann      ;
Bruce Burn hitching round England discovers a place called Wellington.
London sf fan and glider enthusiast George Locke (now a dealer in antique books);
BB              ;
Alan Rispin with Diane Goulding;
the doyen of Irish Fandom Walter A. Willis at home in Belfast.

Mrs Bob Shaw (Phyllis);
Ann again;
Irish sf fan and author Bob Shaw;
George Charters;
author and fan Ian White;
Colin Freeman in hospital bed;
Ken Cheslin about to eat the thumb of BB;
Diane Goulding;
Dave Hale (Cheslin and Hale: Birmingham sf fans - Cheslin still publishes voluminously);
          and           ;
John Berry prolific and very amusing author and Irish sf fan.

 Most of the pictures were taken during a hitch-hiking tour around Britain during 1961.
